Sacred Sexuality

Today, as I sit in the midst of one of the most healing and cleansing experiences of my journey with sexuality so far, I am flooded with deep gratitude for the women in my life who have become like sisters to me and who have supported me in different ways throughout this process. Whether we talk frequently or we shared a short time together, whether I've expressed my thankfulness for your presence in my life already or not, I'd like to take this space to honor you and the work you are doing to better yourself and our world.

Most of the world is caught up in the distorted view of femininity and sexuality that the mass media portrays, but as we each take the time to silently do our own inner work, we are creating a ripple effect in the world that will one day be seen by every body.

As we shed the physical, mental, emotional, and energetic layers of sexual oppression, shame, and abuse, we are clearing the pathway not only for our own futures but for the future of humanity as a whole.

As we define for ourselves and embrace what it really means to be a woman, as we own our feminine power, and as we support our sisters in their process, we are literally transforming the world.

When we individually learn to love our bodies just as they are and freely express our sexuality without guilt or shame, we are giving the women around us silent permission to do the same. As we move through the world from our hearts, letting our soul be revealed for the world to see, we clear the way for our future daughters and sons to create a healthy sexual relationship with themselves and the world around them.

Using sexual energy is more than simply fucking for the hedonistic pleasure of getting off-- it's a sacred practice that connects us with the essence of who we are. It channels a creative energy that is bringing forth a new way of being in the world, a new form of existence that has yet to be seen and utilized by our modern society but that has been known by ancient cultures around the globe for thousands of years.

Sisters, wherever you are currently on your journey of healing and engaging with this innate part of your Self, I honor you for having the strength to do this work for yourself and the collective. Thank you for having the courage to say, "No thank you. I'm ready to transform this belief system" despite the world around you trying so hard to keep it the same.

It's not always easy, and you may not hear it enough, but know that today and every day you are supported on this journey to discovering your own inner truth and stepping more fully into your authentic, expanded, sexual self.
